Software and Information engineering (S&IE) is the systematic and disciplined approach that covers different techniques, methods and processes for the inception, development, operation and maintenance of complex and large-scale software systems. The explosive growth of software applications and data, which we have been witnessing, has greatly reshaped our everyday life. The information being generated at an unprecedented rate present significant challenges in storage, computation, and its communication. Our research focuses on the development of new methodologies and systems to meet such challenges in different domains.
The research in this direction at FAST-NUCES is conducted by the Centre for Empirical Research in Software & Information Engineering (CERSIE). We closely collaborate with the industry to solve real world industrial challenges pertaining to software engineering practices in the local and international industry.
