Dr. Ahsan Nadeem is an academic and researcher in electrical engineering with expertise in photovoltaic systems, power electronics, smart battery systems, electric vehicle fast charging, and advanced control algorithms. He earned his PhD in Electronic Engineering from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, where his research focused on maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms for photovoltaic applications. He further expanded his research portfolio at Aalborg University, Denmark, contributing to a Smart Battery Project. His work involved the development of intelligent battery management systems and the practical implementation of advanced state-of-charge (SOC) and state-of-health (SOH) estimation techniques aimed at enhancing battery lifespan, safety, and charging efficiency.
Dr. Nadeem’s research interests include maximum power extraction and fault detection algorithms for photovoltaic systems, health-aware fast charging of electric vehicle batteries, microgrids, artificial intelligence algorithms, and advanced control strategies for power converters. His work integrates theoretical modeling with experimental validation, including hardware implementation, real-time control development, and laboratory-based PV and battery testing. He has collaborated with international research teams and published in reputable journals and conferences in the fields of photovoltaic energy systems and power electronics. Alongside his research activities, Dr. Nadeem is dedicated to teaching and mentoring students in power electronics, renewable energy systems, Artificial Intelligence, and control engineering. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and actively contributes to advancing research and innovation in sustainable electrification and next-generation energy systems.
