Dr. Wajiha Raheeq holds a Ph.D. in Social Work and serves as an Assistant Professor at FAST-NUCES, Karachi. She graduated from the University of Karachi, where she completed her M.A. and B.A. (Hons) in Social Work, graduating with a Gold Medal in recognition of her academic excellence.
With a strong foundation in community development, social policy, and education, Dr. Raheeq has dedicated her career to advancing social welfare through teaching, research, and active community engagement. having previously served in academic roles at the University of Karachi and Bahria University.
Beyond academia, Dr. Raheeq plays an instrumental role in the field as an advisor and collaborator with several prominent organizations. She has served in advisory capacities for the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), HANDS Karachi, and the Ida Rieu School for the Blind & Deaf, contributing her expertise to human rights, inclusive education, and community empowerment initiatives.
Dr. Raheeq’s research portfolio encompasses a diverse range of social issues, including public health, the impact of social media, disaster management, and educational access for marginalized populations. Her scholarly work is published in both national and international journals, reflecting her commitment to producing impactful research that informs policy and practice.
