Ms. Khushboo Ms. Khushboo Farid Khan Ghouri is a Lecturer at FAST-NUCES (National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences) and a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of International Relations at the University of Karachi. She earned her M.Phil. degree in International Relations from the University of Karachi, receiving two medals for her outstanding performance in both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Throughout her academic journey, she has been actively engaged in research, producing exceptional research papers, demonstrating her expertise in academia and the research field. She is also a contributing author to the book ‘Dark World: A Book on the Deep Dark Web’, published in 2023 by Taylor & Francis Group. Her research interests include gender equality, cyber and technological security, regional politics in South Asia, and the impact of artificial intelligence and nuclear weapons on modern warfare. She actively participates in academic conferences and has contributed to several publications in her field.
She brings a rich and multifaceted background in teaching, research, and media, having served as a Teaching Associate at the Department of International Relations, University of Karachi, and a Visiting Faculty member at institutions including SZABIST, DHA Suffa University, Bahria University, and Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, where she taught courses such as Ideology and Constitution of Pakistan, Comparative Politics, I.R since 1648, Introduction to I.R, European Studies, and Global Governance. Additionally, she has held early-career roles in secondary education and built a parallel career in journalism, working with media outlets such as GEO News, GNN, and Karobar TV, as a content writer, researcher, assignment editor, and head of anti-harassment committees. Her writings have been published in leading platforms including Daily Express, Urdu Chronicles, and Humsub.
Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in International Relations at the University of Karachi, her areas of interest encompass Nuclear weapons, community development, gender equality, and the transformative impact of emerging technologies on power dynamics.
