biography

Ms. Sana Naz is a Lecturer in Physics in the Department of Sciences and Humanities at FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), Karachi Campus. She holds an M.S. in Physics from NED University of Engineering and Technology and an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Karachi. Prior to joining FAST-NUCES, she served as Visiting Faculty at NED University and Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, where she taught core undergraduate physics courses. In addition, she also worked as Academic Associate –Physics at Maqsad (Pvt.) Ltd., where she developed physics curriculum and conceptual learning resources for diverse student groups.

Her research focuses on the fabrication and characterization of spinel nanomaterials, with applications in energy storage devices. She has published in international peer-reviewed journals and continues to contribute to ongoing research in material science.

Ms. Sana is also actively engaged in science outreach and community-based STEM education. She has served as an organizer and mentor in Physics Camp for Girls, an initiative aimed at encouraging young female students to explore and pursue careers in science. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual clarity, inquiry-based learning, and academic confidence-building for students.
