Ms. Tahira Abdul Hakeem

Ms. Tahira Abdul Hakeem is a Lecturer in English in the Department of Sciences and Humanities at FAST-NUCES, Karachi Campus. She holds an MS in Applied Linguistics from NED University of Engineering and Technology and is currently pursuing her PhD in Linguistics at Hamdard University, Karachi. She earned her BA (Hons.) in English Literature and MA in Linguistics from the University of Karachi.

She has served as a Visiting Lecturer at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, NED University, and the University of Karachi, where she taught courses such as Academic Writing, Communication Skills, Functional English, and Technical & Business Writing.

With a keen interest in language, translation, and academic writing, she has three research publications in reputable journals. Alongside her teaching and research engagements, she has also worked as a Translator at Oxford University Press, contributing to educational content development and language resources. She also served as a Manager in the Board Recruitment Department and as a Journal Manager at Information Technology Services.
